Dom's 7th Birthday!!!

It is hard to believe, but Dom turned 7 this weekend!!! It was great and he really had a wonderful weekend. You all know I like to make a big deal out of things, so we did all sorts of fun stuff the entire weekend. On Friday we let him pick his favorite place to eat. At first he told me Arby's, but we got him to go a little bigger (smile!) and so he ended up choosing Applebee's. LOL! It was great. The staff sang to him and he LOVED it!

Saturday morning we woke him up bright and early and gave him his gifts. We got him a Wii and the movie Camp Rock. He had been begging us for both of these. He was so excited and SO sweet. He kept saying, "Thank you so much! That was so nice of you to get this for me. I love you guys!!!" It was cute. He also had his FIRST football game that morning...and Herm noticed as he layed out his uniform that his football number is 7! Pretty cool for his first football game ever that was on his 7th birthday. He did great! He was quarterback and looked so cute out there calling plays and being so serious.

Herm dug out old videos this weekend that we had started making when Dom was born that go up until now. We watched his first birthday. It was so cute!!! We laughed through a lot of it. It was so neat to see how much he has grown, as well as us!!! It was cool to go back in time and see how much fun we used to have at our little apartments at CMSU with our little CMSU baby. We also watched our first Christmas in Warrensburg as a family with our little, I mean tiny, Christmas tree, us getting Dom to take his first steps by holding A&W Root Beer in front of him, and so much more. Things were so simple back then, and it was great! So many awesome memories. There are SO many tapes, so we haven't been able to watch them all, but Herm has started burning them onto CD's.

Time has flown by, but Dom is only seven, so I know we have SO many memories to come! Here are some pictures from his party. Enjoy! Dom and Chuck E. Cheese. See that medal around his neck? Chuck E. 'presented' it to Dom. It is one of the reasons why he wanted his party there so bad. So, the day after the party Dom and I went to the store. As we are strolling down the aisle, a little girl stops in front of Dom and just stands there stairing at him with her mouth open. Dom is sitting in the shopping cart just staring back at her. Then she starts screaming, "Mom! This kids has on a Chuck E. Cheese medalion!!! He had a birthday party there!!! Aghhhhhhh!!!!!!" Then the mom drags the little girl away and she is kicking and screaming like it's the 1960's and she just ran into the Beatles. It was funny, to say the least!
